BOB HURLBERT'S HOME PAGE

WELCOME to my Home Page.

I have been around at HAL for quite a few years, on the Board of Directors, as SIG Leader for Beginning Users and Saturday DOS, developed and ran the SeniorNet and Seniors Workshop courses for 5 years, organized a couple of Expo's, etc. My main interest has been HAL's educational functions, especially for helping new members and beginners get started.

In my former life, before retirement, I was Professor of Biochemistry at U. of Texas M.D. Anderson Hospital, where I specialized in the biosynthesis of the nucleotides that go to make up RNA and DNA, with a view towards developing cancer-inhibitory antimetabolites. I also organized and taught graduate and medical courses in biochemistry.

I am presently the SIG Leader for the Quicken SIG, with Ann Smith. She and Nick Harrison and I taught Quicken (as well as other courses) for several years in the Seniors Workshop hands-on courses. Details on the link below.
See you there !
