I've been interested in doing multimedia on computers for quite some time but never had the skills to do anything worth sharing. But now, I think I've got enough stuff to be able to help others as they get into it. This activity requires knowledge and experience in a wide range of fields - photography, videography, audio-graphy, computer hardware/software, and the Internet. It's the coming thing.
For me, the major driver in my multimedia activities is the desire to develop the most effective, high impact way to share my hobbies, interests, travels, family get-togethers, and other fun events. Email me if you need help with anything.
Like most folks, I've taken still pictures for many years and placed them in albums which end up under the living room book case - never to be seen (or, seen again) by anyone, even far-away family members. But now with digital multimedia, my extended family can enjoy highly entertaining, very personal memories by playing a DVD on a big-screen TV in their living room, by downloading a video file from the web, or by watching a video stream from a web host. By adding motion, pans, zooms, video effects, audio effects, background music, and rolling titles and credits to my still photos and motion clips, I can really pump up their enjoyment. And, I can do all these things as an ordinary person. Of course, I've had to teach myself how to do these things but now I don't have to learn them again.
So, until you've taken your own photos and enhanced them in these ways, you just cannot imagine how much more enjoyable your still photos and video clips can be. You can actually put your multimedia stuff out there just like the pros. Yes! Try it - you'll like love the result. And, your family and friends will think you're a genius.
