Uruguay is a man's place according to a number of people I quizzed when we vistited Punta del Esta on the eastern shore where all the resorts and rich folks have summer homes. The women outnumber the men by about 10 to 1. We only had a day there but had several nice stops along the way - artist homes and displays that were interesting and different.
