Courtney Sullivan & Mick McHam gear up after lunch at the Lost Maples Cafe in Utopia. Notice the nice wet roads... WetSTOC II! (Photo by Dan Weber).

Hmm... wonder if I should have kept the ST? (Dan Weber gets ready to climb on his LT)

The Lone Star Motorcycle Museum. If you're ever in the Texas Hill Country, this is a must see. It's located in the middle of nowhere just 3 or 4 miles west of Vanderpool. Tx.

Inside the museum are many bikes but this 1948 Vincent Rapide caught my attention. It has a 998cc engine and was touted as the fastest production bike of it's time. The info sheet on the bike claims that it would do 85 mph all day long and hit a top speed of 110 mph. Also mentioned is the fact that in 1947 an unsupercharged Vincent twin did 150 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats.

The owner of the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum, Allan Johncock, let's an excited young boy climb onto a Norton cafe racer. A future motorcyclist is born.
