We started out in Cairns where it was hot, tropical and full of interesting things to see and do. The Great Barrier Reef drives this area and shouldn't be missed in one's lifetime. We finally made it. Then, we went to Sydney (4 MM people) and likened it to Seattle or Vancouver - bright, clean, busy. The 2000 Olympics was probably the cause of a lot of its new look but it's still a business-type city. |
