Sweden is very prosperous despite its lack of natural resources or history as a trading hub. Its early leaders avoided constant wars and demonstrated steady hands. |

The highlight of Stockholm for me was the Vasa Museum - famous for its almost-new war ship which sank shortly after its launching in the early 1600's. It had so many cannons that it was fatally top heavy. It was recovered only a few decades or so ago. The displays and stories made me believe I was part of it all. |

We had fun exploring Gamla Stan (the Old City) and having a cold beer with our travelling buddies. My partner also dragged me around while we looked at the pretty local crafts and other store merchandise. |
