Why Volunteer?

Volunteer Dimitry
Dimitry is one of our experienced instructors. He primarily teaches our Beginner, Intermediate and Print Shop courses. He also helps out wherever he is needed, including opening/closing the facility, office support and one-on-one tutoring.

    Volunteer Bill
    Bill is our Database Manager. He is responsible for keeping our records current and in good order, logging and forwarding receipts to HAL-PC Headquarters, generating all of our front-office forms and helping front office personnel with computer related problems.

     

     

    Volunteer Chris
    Chris is one of our instructors. He has taught our Beginner, Intermediate and Introduction to The Internet courses. His recent focus has been primarily on developing handouts and teaching our Internet course. He has also been a presenter at our General Computer SIG.

     

     

    Volunteer Chuck
    Chuck is one of our lead technical guys. His primary responsibility is to keep our 30 computers upgraded, running, and virus free. He also evaluates and refurbishes donated equipment to determine how it can be used in our facility or given to a needy person or non-profit organization.

     

    Volunteer George

    George is the founder of the Clear Lake branch of HAL-PC and is the overall coordinator of our facility and its operation. He focuses on keeping our program current in terms of hardware, software and courses, including course handouts. He teaches our Scanning, Photo Editing and Printing course. He is also teaching the new  Beginners  XP and Intermediate XP courses.

    Volunteer Marvel
    M
    arvel is one of our front office volunteers responsible for meeting and greeting people, and signing-up seniors for HAL-PC membership, HALNet accounts and courses. She also calls to inform folks when their courses are scheduled, responds to questions about our program, and tracks the hours donated by all of our volunteers.

     


     
    Volunteer Dan
    Dan is one of our instructors responsible for keeping the Digital Camera course current and teaching the course.
     

     
    Volunteer Laura
    Laura is one of our front office volunteers responsible for meeting and greeting people, and signing-up seniors for HAL-PC membership, HALNet accounts and courses. She also calls to inform folks when their courses are scheduled, responds to questions about our program, and helps instructors get everything they need to teach.

    Volunteer Gil
    Gil is one of our instructors who teaches our Beginner, Intermediate and File Management courses.


     
    Volunteer Jack
    Jack is one of our technical volunteers responsible for the ongoing preventive maintenance of our 30 computers, keeping them free from viruses and current on product update releases. He also helps seniors resolve problems with their computers.
