CompTIA certification courses - Network+

Network+ course is targeted for A+ Computer Service Technicians who wish to gain the skills and knowledge in a vendor neutral networking environment. This course can also serve as a prerequisite for vendor-specific training programs. You will learn networking technologies such as the definition of a protocol, the OSI model and its layers, and the concepts of network design and implementation. The Network+® exams contain situational and identification types of questions. All of the questions are multiple choice. There is either one answer for each question, or the question identifies how many answers you should select. The test covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies, but is not bound to any vendor-specific products.

The examinee selects the option that best completes the statement or answers the question from four (4) or more response options. Distracters or wrong answers are response options that examinees with incomplete knowledge or skill would likely choose, but are generally plausible responses fitting into the content area. Test item formats used in this examination are:

  • Multiple-choice: The examinee selects one option that best answers the question or completes the statement. The option may be to point and click on a selection that is embedded in a graphic.

  • Multiple-response: The examinee selects more than one option that best answers the question or completes the statement.

  • Sample Directions: The examinee reads the statement or question and selects only the option(s) that represent the best answer(s) from the options presented.

The program is backed by major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications. Netowork+ certification signifies that the certified individual possesses the knowledge and skills essential for a successful entry-level (6 months experience) networking technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry.
