Windows XP
Instructor: Bear Jones

A hands-on class designed for the computer user wishing to better their computer skills or have upgraded to Windows XP.

Students in this class will be expected to have experience using a computer and using the mouse. Others are recommended to take our Introduction to Computer Basics, a beginner class.

Topics include: * Basic review of Hardware and Software components and terminology in XP * Screen Printing and “My Computer” * Introduction to Windows Explorer, use of files and folders * Saving files and creating copies of files (documents, pictures, etc.) * Organizing directories of folders and files * Searching for any file and folders * Creating easy access to programs * Installing new software/hardware * Basic Troubleshooting and routine maintenance * Overview of Microsoft programs such as Works, Word, Excel and Power Point, etc. 1-day class consisting of 4 classroom hours. Class size ranges from 4 to 12 students
