On January 4, 1997, the Houston Area League of PC Users moved to its new and improved headquarters and resource center. Located at 4543 Post Oak Place, Suite 200, The 8000 square foot suite more than doubled the 3200 sq. ft. available in the previous headquarters.

The resource center features two networked learning centers/training labs and four meeting rooms for SIGs, two of which can be combined to create a single space of more than 2000 square feet! Meeting and training areas include state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities and access to the internet via HALNet. Ample covered parking is available under the building, and HAL has access to the common areas including a terrace courtyard and atrium for special events.

HALNet's internet access equipment is located in a spacious, climate-controlled environment, with all lights, power and air conditioning backed up by UPS and a generator that will provide 24-hour power, even if the power to the building completely dies. The internet suite has a secure entrance and programming lab/office space for its staff.
