For Windows 95: Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, HyperTerminal. For Windows 98: Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Communication, HyperTerminal. 
In the box of Hyperterminal icons, click on the one that says HYPERTERM or HYPERTERM.EXE 
HyperTerminal will appear with its start up Screen, and then the following box will appear in front of the HyperTerminal main screen. 
Enter a name such as test in the Name box, and then click OK |
