Click on Start, Settings, Network and Dial-Up Connections. See Figure 1.
NOTE! If this is the first time to set-up a connection, it may then start on Figure 3.

The "Network Connection Wizard" will open. See Figure 3. Click NEXT.

Put a dot in "Dial-up to the Internet". See Figure 4. Click NEXT.

Make sure the "I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)" is selected. Click NEXT. See Figure 5.

If you have a Dial-up connection (modem) click "I connect through a phone line and modem." See Figure 6.
NOTE! If you have ADSL, click "I connect through a local area network (LAN)". Click NEXT.

Uncheck the "Use area code and dialing rules" box and enter the telephone number 7136259909 in the telephone number box. See Figure 7. Click the "Advanced" button.

Make sure PPP "Connection type" is dotted and None is dotted for "Logon procedure". See Figure 8. Click the Addresses tab located at the top.

Make sure "Internet service provider automatically provides one" is dotted. For DNS server address, make sure "Always use the following" is dotted. Type in for "Primary DNS server" 204.52.135.2
Type in for "Alternate DNS server" 204.52.135.1 See Figure 9. Click OK. You will see the previous "Phone Number" screen (Figure 7), then click NEXT.

Put in your user name (your HALNet email address - userid@hal-pc.org) in the "User name" box. Put in your HAL-PC (HALNet) password in the "Password" box. See Figure 10. Click NEXT.

Type in HALNet into the "Connection Name" box. See Figure 11. Click NEXT.

Select "No", Click NEXT. See Figure 12.

Uncheck "To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box and then click Finish.". See Figure 13. Click the FINISH button.
