Special Interests Group (SIG)
Hal-PC is divided on the Special Interests Groups. The QuickBooks SIG is dedicated to educating small business using QuickBooks.  We have meeting once a month to review new updates, tips and tricks and to solve any of your  problems with QuickBooks.

Meetings:
2nd Saturday each month at 9:00 AM

 

Latest updates:

* Starting December 13, 1998, the class is be divided into beginners and intermediate/advance users.

* Starting Sep-99 we will introduce on-line Forum, so you will be able to add post questions on-line.

Beginners

The first part of the SIG meetings is devoted to the beginner users (9:00 AM until 10:15 AM). The class will have a structured classroom design for the beginners. The subjects include:

    1. Course Introduction: Is QuickBooks the right accounting program for you?
    2. Creating QuickBooks company
    3. Entering account opening balances
    4. Service invoicing
    5. Using QuickBooks for accounts payable
    6. Bank reconciliation
    7. Payroll processing
    8. Creating preset reports
Intermnediate/Advanced Users

The second part of the SIG meetings is devoted to the intermediate/advance users (10:30 AM until Noon). The subjects will have a wider range. The class attendees will have the direct input to the topics covered. The class attendees are in courage to Email or fax SIG leader Ralph Rieger at rieger@hal-pc.org (713) 729-5431 for any specific topics or request including, but not limited to:

    1. Exporting data.
    2. Filtering and customizing memorized reports.
    3. Time tracking and job costing
    4. Processing inventory
    5. Tracking credit card transactions
    6. Processing tax reports.
