The TC Users Group SIGIf you are a member of another trading group, please feel free to forward this link to other of your members whom you think might have an interest. If any of them would like to attend, I'd appreciate an Email to tcusergroup@hal-pc.org.
Jeff White is a full time trader who believes TeleChart is invaluable to his success. He is the founder of TheStockBandit.com, an educational site for traders, and you can see his use of TC on his web site to which I'll point you below. Jeff was our speaker for the September 2006 meeting.
Jeff's own account has continued to grow during all kinds of market conditions over the past several years. He produced profits for his account during the roaring bull market, but more importantly during the ugly bear market that followed, and in the range bound markets we've seen since. Jeff's method is based on finding and trading the best bull and bear technical setups in stocks, while keeping close tabs on general market conditions. He trades stocks which are set to make the best moves in the shortest amount of time, generally in sympathy with the broader market moves.
Jeff plans to discuss his general trading approach as well as some technical plays which are suited to specific time frames. He'll include criteria and conditions which he likes to see before entering a trade, as well as signals that it's time to exit and move on to another one. Current stocks of interest will be provided, as well as time for Q&A. All of this will tie in with the way he uses TC because he doesn't feel he could do what he does without it.
Jeff will be coming to us remotely from Schertz, Texas. You can see more about Jeff at: www.thestockbandit.com You might be interested to read Jeff's recent interview in Stocks & Commodities Magazine to get a little background on him and his trading style. Here's a link to the interview. Jeff has graciously made available to us a file with some of his PCF's and EZ-Scans, and will make available the PDF file he'll use for the first part of the presentation. After the meeting if you'll email tcusergroup@hal-pc.org with a short request stating which file(s) you want, I'll email them to you.
My comment, not requested by Jeff: these files contain what I would consider to be intellectual property as a product of Jeff's work. Many of our presenters who have business sites keep this kind of content in electronic form mostly to themselves. I ask those requesting these files to please treat them with respect, and not use them for business gain other than to make bushels of money trading personally, using them as tools.
Vince Rowe's Online Trading Academy (OTA) holds a get-together of class alumni on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's of the month, unless there is a conflict with active classes. They have graciously invited us to attend, even if we have not taken a class. So if you are "bored" making lots of money in this market and need to get out and mingle with humanoids, or want to simply be around folks who are serious about trading and investing, give some thought to making it over to 440 Benmar, Suite 2400, zip 77060, a few blocks off BW8 near Bush airport, at 12:00. I suggest you call Scott Lofgren or Leah Carter at 713-491-4430 for more information and directions.

Vince Rowe has a growing list of free trading resources he is willing to send anyone who asks. Simply email Vince requesting his (currently I think) 8 page list of free trading resources.
Rick presented remotely at our September, 2007 meeting. He said he would provide access to our members for the 3% plus scan, as well as other services at his website. Some of you have told me you did not hear back from your request to Rick.
Rick apparently had problems with his email server around that time. He has offered to give us a 30 day free trial to his site. Please send Rick an email if you are interested. Let me know if it still does not work for you.
Julia, who spoke along with Tal at our October meeting, provided the following link to the "Ask A Trainer" forum entry that has several attachments for the classes held in Houston, including her notes. There's a LOT of stuff here.
Go here to get directly to the notes pdf file.
Here's a video link that starts us off with baby steps using blocks. It might be a good prep for the April meeting.
Vince Rowe, who has been our speaker twice and is president of Online Trading Academy Texas (OTA), is on KTEK BizRadio AM 1110 in Houston, Monday thru Friday 11:00 am till noon, with the Vince Rowe Radio Showe. Usually on the Wednesday shows we can join a WebEx simulcast and view the charts they discuss, generally with David Buffalo, a professional swing trader.
For a calendar of upcoming radio programs, go to VinceRowe.com and scroll over to the far right, scroll down below "EVENTS / LINKS" and click on "SHOW Schedule." For information on hooking up to the simulcasts, send Vince an Email at vrowe@tradingacademy.com or call 866-343-5170. Let Vince know you're with the Houston TeleChart User Group. If you forget to do this, you can usually join by going to tradingacademy.webex.com and clicking on the "Vince Rowe Show" link. The password is nasdaq (lower case). The actual show(e) begins at 11:00 am. For the WebEx simulcast shows, I listen to the radio (AM 1110 in Houston) and watch on the computer.
Vince is hosting his 3/4 day free Power Trading Workshop at OTA in Houston on April 4, 5, 17, and 18, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. I don't know the May schedule. Call 888-682-2883 if you want more information.

Map to HAL-PC.http://www.hal-pc.org/map.html
HAL-PC is located between the San Felipe and South Post Oak Blvd. exits on the 610 west loop, just inside the loop. The address is 4543 Post Oak Place Dr. For me, the simplest route is to go east onto San Felipe from the 610 West Loop. At the second light (not counting the one at the service road), turn left onto Briar Oaks (it's a different name if you were to go right, and there's a street sign on the overhanging traffic light). Take Briar Oaks until it dead ends into Post Oak Place Drive, then right.
HAL-PC is at the end of the Post Oak Place Drive cul-de-sac where you can turn right to go up the ramp to park outside, or to the back of the cul-de-sac and down the ramp to park underground.
We're on the second floor, exiting right from the elevator, then left into the double glass doors. We meet in room SIG-B. There's someone at the desk who can direct you once you enter the HAL-PC suite through the double doors.
HAL-PC has implemented a new entrance policy. After 6:00 PM, your HAL-PC card will be needed to open the door to the suite. If you are a visitor, please signal the attendant at the desk you need access, and please make sure to sign the guest register at his desk.
Regards,
Mark
