Our goal is to shape a gathering that is both didactic and experiential.  We want it to enrich and inform both the personal and professional lives of all participants.

Time will be provided for updates by the curriculum and ethics committees.  Stephen Gilligan, Ph.D., will present the keynote address and will be a participant throughout the three days.

Call for Proposals:

The guidelines for presentations are two fold:  (1) they need to include both didactic and experiential components; (2) they need to focus on one of the following SR topics:
 

• Six Basic Principles of Self Relations
• Problem states, e.g., alienating influences, neglected selves, disconnect between cognitive and somatic selves
• Aspects of self in the field, e.g., cognitive self, somatic self, tender soft spot relational fields
• Sponsorship, e.g., therapists’ sponsorship practices, solution states – learning self sponsorship
• Pragmatic therapeutic skills, e.g., foundation for practical therapeutic basics, hypnotic skills, models for working with archetypes, therapeutic rituals
• Cultivating therapeutic presence, e.g., creative practices, body arts/meditation, centered mindful presence.

We are also looking for volunteers for poetry readings, to lead movement exercises, meditations, musical moments, drawing or art projects – these experiences will be brief and woven in throughout each day.

The cost to attend the Gathering will be $200 per person. This fee includes, conference room rental, refreshments each day, a group dinner at a local restaurant, and a binder of materials from the event.  The Quail’s Inn will give us reduced rates on hotel rooms ($99, $129 – ask for reservations for Gilligan seminar).  We will be happy to work with you to coordinate roommates.  There are also other hotels in the area with low rates whose information we can provide.
