Eric Owens gives Exhibition after Pan Am Games Gold Medal Win

August 99 saw Eric Owens return to hometown Houston and a welcome home celebration at the Houston Table Tennis Center.  There were streamers flying and two cakes for Eric and guests.

The center was decked out as Eric and Roberto Byles performed a dynamic exhibition of skill and agility.

Also on display was the Gold Medal itself and the US Team gear.  Eric's mom was proud as a peacock! Owens recently signed a new agreement with Butterfly and they are now producing the "Eric Owens Racket"

Pan Am Games Gold Medal
After greeting some of his fans, Eric was later interviewed at a Houston 2012 press conference by KTRH 740 news radio.  Sprinter Leroy Burrell was also on hand.  It was a bit of a reunion as Eric's dad, Kenny, was his neuro-muscular therapist when he was competing at the world and Olympic levels.
