Houston is a dynamic multicultural city. Sue and Terry love to go to different celebrations and events around town. The following shots are of some of these events.

Bank United hosts the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Houston. They hold a sneak preview at the George R. Brown Convention Center. People can come and watch as the floats are built and clowns and bands practice for the show. They can even make their own gingerbread cookies

Thanksgiving kicks off the season of family fun and leads into the major holidays like Christmas. We share this feeling and decorate our home as well (as our cats watch). Texans have a unique perspective on Santa! Galveston holds a wonderful event called "Dickens on the Strand". Actors in costume put visitors in the proper mood. Street vendors and musicians galore flock to the area and add to the festive celebration which includes a parade.
