2005 Double Die Lincoln Cent
Greater Houston Coin Club Show
Houston, Texas
Obverse is a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the 1955 Double Die Lincoln Cent, while reverse commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Greater Houston Coin Club (of which I am a member.) Standard irony from engraver Ron Landis in that the reverse features wheat ears paired with Memorial-era obverse date, and that Landis inscribed his triple initials at the base of the reverse, reminiscent of the 1909 V.D.B. Lincoln Cent. The obverse design is based on my personal recommendation for the token at the end of September 2004. See the link below to view the mockup image proposal that I submitted to the Gallery Mint Museum.
