KPFT station manager, plus a member of staff and a volunteer all assault protestors, file false charges, then lose!

We will win!

Edwin Johnston. (Houston PNB meeting, early March 2001)

On March 23, 2001, KPFT general manager Garland Ganter assaulted Edwin Johnston at a protest at KPFT in Houston. Johnston was also assaulted by a KPFT volunteer. Ganter's wife, Molly O'Brien, who at the time was on KPFT staff, assaulted protestor Sheila Harris. Both Ganter and O'Brien gave false reports to police and Johnston was arrested and jailed on two counts of assault.

Johnston is very angry about this, to say the least.

**NEWS** Victory and vindication! **NEWS**
Garland Ganter's charge of assault was dismissed in Municipal Court on July 16, 2001. The other charge of assault, filed by Ganter's wife, Molly, was dismissed in County Court on August 27, 2001.
