Dear Miss Margarett,
I succeed in getting the Stick ready & will always be under obligations to you & Mr. MacIntyre if you will deliver it to Major Thomas W. Francis of Montgomery Ala. To be forwarded to Dr. J.C. Francis of Jacksonville.
Inclosed you will find a letter Mrs Lane asked me to forward to you; and also one that I wrote to Dr. J.C. Francis which you will please give to Major Francis.
I hope you will have a pleasant and successful voyage. Remember us to any of our relations you may meet in Montgomery.
