The
Documents is a link to an index of a collection of old letters and
documents handed down within the McIntyre family. One night, long before
I was born, my grandfather gathered his children (grown at that time)
around the fireplace, he opened the box of letters and dealt them out
like playing cards. I inherited the ones received by my father, Milton
Fairly McIntyre and those that I have transcribed are listed on this
page. I will be adding others as I complete them.
Because of their age, perhaps more than their content they provide entertaining
reading. There are no earth shattering revelations contained within
these pages, just a sense of history as seen through the eyes of common
folks communicating with their friends and kin.
If anyone has any old documents that pertains to or reflects the tone
of these pages and would like to have them displayed here, please send
me the text (Not The Originals!). I will review the content and if it
is appropriate, I will include them here. Documents that are relative
to this page are most welcome and this is your opportunity to share
them with others.
You can attach documents to an email message addressed to: jdm@hal-pc.org
. After review I will contact you and inform you of the date they will
be published. Documents can be copies of the originals or, preferably
(if you have time), transcribed as ASCII text files. If the documents
are transcribed, please do not correct the grammar or spelling. We want
as much of the original "flavor" as possible. Everyone who provides
documents will be credited as the source unless they ask to remain anonymous.
