The PC Upgrade and Troubleshooting Workshop SIG specializes in helping HAL-PC members get their misbehaving computers back in good working order. We meet every Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 at the HAL-PC headquaters. A map to the HAL-PC headquarters can be found here.
We have helped members with a variety of basic hardware issues including adding or replacing memory, modems, hard drives, CD burners etc. Our SIG members are very experienced in removing viruses and spyware from infected computers.We also welcome HAL-PC members who just want to learn how to repair or upgrade a PC.
Any HAL-PC member that wants assisitance from the SIG to fix their computer MUST CALL the HAL-PC front desk at 713-993-3300 to schedule an appointment. Only Six slots are available and the SIG is alnost always full by Tuesday morning.
In order to help with your computer problems, YOU MUST BRING the follwing with your computer:DO NOT bring a monitor unless your monitor does not use the standard 15 pin VGA connector.
