Introduction to the Tutorials

Up to now you've hopefully gotten a satisfying introduction to virtual reality.  3D graphics may not be the newest technology to hit the Web, but I can almost guarantee that it makes the most impact.  Just take a look at the impressive success of your favorite game that happens to run on a 3D game engine.  VRML is much the same, except that it is implemented on the Web.  As technology becomes more and more advanced, most likely the Web will shift more towards 3D graphics and virtual reality.  Before long, we'll have companies running monopolies on VRML browsers!

Throughout the following tutorials, you'll learn a wealth of knowledge, from creating simple nodes to writing your own complex scripts from Java or Javascript.  As you create your worlds, you're always welcome to Email me with your creations.

The tutorials have been designed with the user in mind.  Mounds of documentation becomes too comprehensive, if not a bit dry, so you'll have interactive worlds to play with, and then build yourself.  Remember, VRML is a toy.  Have fun.
