'99 VFR Electrical Farkles
Below and on the following pages are some pictures and comments on the installation of electrical modifications to my VFR. These farkles include a volt meter, radar detector, two BMW type electrical outlets and associated wiring and fuse panels.
The Goals:
1. To be able to swap the Valentine One radar detector that I currently use on my ST1100 to the VFR as needed. The circuit that supplies electricity to this detector should power off when the engine is shut off.
2. Have two easily accessible switched electrical sockets that allow me to plug in heated clothing and an auxiliary electrical circuit to power a small amplifier for my radar detector and headphone setup.
3. Be able to manage the VFR's limited electrical capacity using a Datel volt meter.
4. Install all the circuitry needed for the above.
