Routing of wires coming from the frame. The four individual wires with terminal connectors are for the two electrical accessory sockets. Two of the three wires running into the shadows beneath the front fairing go to the voltmeter and the other is the main radar detector power supply wire that goes to the rear of one of two connector sockets that are velcroed beneath the dash. (See last page).

Close-up shot showing the mounted position of the Datel Voltmeter (red rectangle on gray fairing). A Dremel tool was used to cut most of the rectangle shape. Final shaping of the hole was done with a small file. **NOTE: Be VERY careful with the Dremel tool or it will get away from you fast. I practiced on a couple of pieces of scrap plastic first before making the actual cuts on the fairing.

Picture showing the 11/16" spade bit that was used to cut the holes in the left side fairing for the electrical sockets. After cutting, I went round the holes with a small rat tail file just a couple of times and the sockets dropped right in. I would not recommend using this bit in any power device. I was able to turn the bit by hand to make the cuts. The "BMW" type electrical sockets were purchased from Jastek Engineering .
