I 'm not sure fractals can stand on their own as art, but some of them are so fascinating to behold, I felt they deserved a page of their own anyway. To arrive at these images I generated LOTS of several types of fractals in Fractint, changing the parameters until I got a few that looked interesting. Then I did some zooming and edited the colors, partly in Fractint and partly in a paint program. I have another gallery here devoted to flame-type fractals produced with a plugin for GIMP.
