I want to tell you what a wonderful bonus I've found at HAL-PC.
I now connect to AOL through HALNet, and what a great deal that turned out to be! Using my TCP/IP (Internet) connection, I simply signed up for the Bring Your Own Access Plan by changing my billing option.
Then I set up my modem to TCP/IP connection, bypassing AOL's phone lines. I never have a busy signal. I just log on the first time every time. And, I only pay $9.95 per month for unlimited use of AOL. I get the exact same service as those paying $19.95, but I don't have to wait - ever.
Connecting is a breeze, too. Nothing much to do: I just connect to HALNet, minimize the window, click on the AOL icon, and dial in. Viola! Every so often, my connection will unexpectedly terminate, but that's not much of a problem. Certainly not for the service. I really can't say there are any other drawbacks. Now, with my $10.00 per month for HALNet plus my $9.95 payment to AOL, I get all the unlimited use of the Internet and AOL for the same price most people pay for just one service. And, no waiting. I don't see how it's possible to beat that.
