The Smithsonian Institution has recently created a home page for the National Museum of American History. The site's five main sections include: Virtual Exhibitions, currently hosting exhibits on American Wine; the history of Tool Chests; World War II Home Front Posters; and a Centennial Salute to Cinema.
The Andover Network, "a collection of Internet technology and software sites," provides daily IT news in nine subjects, including AppleWatch, HardwareWatch, Internet-Watch, JavaWatch, and MicrosoftWatch, among others. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Jet Propulsion Laboratory provides "all images obtained by the Galileo Solid State Imaging (SSI) system during the spacecraft's first orbit (G1) of Jupiter... in calibrated and validated form" at this site. Those interested in beautiful astronomical pictures can view the over forty images of Jupiter and four of its moons.
The relaunched Annenberg/CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting) Projects Learner Online site recently added a section of online exhibits, an extension of its educational multi-media collection. The first exhibit, The Middle Ages, portrays everyday life in Medieval times and contains sections on religion, homes, clothing, health, arts, and town life.

John Lye, a professor in the Departments of English and Communication Studies at Brock University (Canada), offers these two resources designed for beginning literature students. Critical Guide contains sections on poetry, fiction, prose in fiction, and writing analytical essays. The Problem of Meaning discusses the meaning of literature from the point of view of the author, the text, and the reader. Though not exhaustive, these guides form a useful framework to help beginning students think critically about the literature they are reading.

Hoover's, a company information publisher, provides this no nonsense site that allows users to enter ranges for any of twenty variables in the areas of ratios, company size, margins, growth rates, rates of return, and volatility. Any of four US national exchanges and over fifty product categories can be selected. Retrieval can be sorted by variable, and there are connections to selected company information, including URLs when available. Over 7,500 companies are in the database.
