The Microsoft Typography web page offers seven free True Type Fonts for Windows 3.x, Windows 95/NT and Macintosh. While optimized for HTML-authoring, they work equally well in other Windows applications from Windows Write to MS Word.
The newest True Type Font is Webdings, a symbol font containing 230 symbols in categories that include Entertainment, Computers, Web Site Icons, User Interface, Borders, Business, Communications and Sports. The remaining web-oriented fonts are Trebuchet, Georgia, Verdana, Comic Sans MS, Arial Black and Impact.
The fonts may be downloaded individually or you can use the following links to get the entire pack in a self-extracting archive:
