More telephone exchanges are now available for our HALNet internet service with no toll charges. The user does not need to change anything but the telephone number that their modem calls - all other settings must remain the same. Check the following list for your community and exchange:

• Notice to Bay Area Residents Served by Verizon (formerly GTE)
  Due to recent changes, most Bay Area communities with Area Codes 281 and 832 can now call HALNet's Metro Houston access number, 713-625-9909, as a local call. For additional information on your local calling scope, please call Verizon Customer Service at 1-800-483-4000.

Our Suburban Access Numbers are a toll-free call from these specific exchanges, from those that do not subscribe to the extra-cost 'Metro' service. Those who intend to continue to call using a higher-cost 'Metro' line would see NO advantage in using the smaller pool of lines accessed via the Suburban Access Numbers and should continue to call the main Houston number 713-625-9909
